How did you first get into DJing? I first got into Djing when I realized that electronic music was apart of me. It just effects me. I was 15. I was watching Obscure tear up the phatest break set, and thats when I realized thats what I wanted to do. I wanted to move the crowd the way he did. Make the people dance all night long.
How long have you been a DJ? I started when I was 15 and I had the crappiest turntables in the world. 7 years.
What's your favourite track that you like to play? Paul Elstak: Get Off the Car (Hardcore), Technical Itch: California Curse Remix (Drum & Bass).
Who have been your biggest influences? Obscure, Dj Eric L., Dj Jappo, Ron D. Core, Dieselboy, DB, and local talent Seth Myles and Dr. Who.
Do you plan out your sets or do you play to the crowds reaction? Depends, when I compose a set I work with the record's building and breaking. And I usually play that set once and record it. But when playing with new records I can just work them with the crowd.
How did you first hear electronic music? When I went to my first party back in '97.
How would you describe your sound? Dark, Grungy, Deep, Bangin tunes that will make anyone wanna dance. And I like to make my own remixes of songs.
What does the future have in store for Dj Ignescent? I plan to start taking these basslines and melodies in my head and learn how to produce them into music. And many more djing sets to play.
